As we see the filmmaker Anurag Kashyap reaching to Versova Police Station, we hear that he remained for eight hours. We saw the director reaching the said police station sharp at 10.30 pm and when he left it was 6.30 pm, which was more or less eight hours of interrogation on the earlier complaint made against the filmmaker by Payal Ghosh saying that she was raped by this man. He is facing the charges of sexual harassment along with rape charges from the actress Payal Ghosh.
The director was called by the police as per the complaint received on 22nd September and he was recorded with the statement of sexual misconduct carried out against the lady in 2013. She even has alleged that the filmmaker has called to his flat at Yari road to discuss some of his upcoming movies. Payal had visited the Police station with her lawyer to file the said complaint. She even threatened saying that she will go on hunger strike if necessary action is not taken against the filmmaker.Â
She had even gone to meet the governor of the state Mr. Bhagat Singh Koshyari with RS MP Mr. Ramdas Ahtawale requesting a Y Plus security as she fears for her life. After her allegations, the filmmaker was called at the police station with the lawyer. Anurag Kashyap has stayed for eight hours and when the media asked the police officer to comment, they said the filmmaker can be called again for questioning. However, he denied sharing any details in the questioning session with the filmmaker.
