Yodha Trailer Review: Sidharth Malhotra Kickstarts the Blockbuster Season of 2024, Seamlessly Combining Patriotism and Action in a Gripping Tale of Rogue and Rage
Dharma Productions has released the trailer of Yodha, starring Sidharth Malhotra, Rashi Khanna, and Disha Patani, with the suave and smart Ronit Roy making an appearance. There is an urgent fact that we need to acknowledge, and for this, we can thank Karan Johar and Vishnu Vardhan – for discovering the perfect man to portray a soldier on screen, in the form of the Shershah actor.
When Sid portrayed Shershah with such brilliance, making every detail and nuance appear remarkably genuine, some might have considered it a fluke. However, as he once again dons the uniform, it is evident that the discovery of the perfect soldier in him might have been a successful one.
In the Yodha trailer, Sidharth Malhotra delivers a line like “Main Rahoon Ya Naa Rahoon, Desh Hamesha Rahega,” impressing with the perfect and apt amount of nationalism. The trailer can be easily divided into two sections – the patriotism and the action.
Surprisingly, the patriotism takes a twist, leading to a tale of a man gone rogue, and the narrative of his rage and revenge appears well-crafted and promising. As for the action part, the glimpses seem to offer top-notch sequences, and the hard work of the Shershah actor in pulling off these stunts with utmost urgency and genuineness is truly commendable.
The best aspect of this trailer is that despite being a commercial masala film high on action, it doesn’t feel overly dramatized, and one feels inclined to support the story. However, here lies the tricky part – the trailer has revealed a significant portion of the story in its 2-minute 49-second duration.
Actresses Rashi Khanna and Disha Patani are briefly showcased in the trailer, and their roles seem to enrich the narrative. In summary, Sidharth Malhotra might indeed kickstart the blockbuster season of 2024.
I am eagerly anticipating the film, which appears to deliver on its promise of a brilliant and one-of-its-kind aerial action. Yodha is set to hit theaters on March 15. Directed by Sagar Ambre & Pushkar Ojha, the film has been produced by Dharma Productions & Shashank Khaitan.
