Boney Kapoor Discloses Anil Kapoor’s Displeasure Over Exclusion from No Entry Sequel: “My Brother is Still Not Speaking Properly

Anees Bazmee’s 2005 comedy No Entry proved to be a major success for both actor Anil Kapoor and his elder brother, producer Boney Kapoor. However, Boney has made the decision to not cast Anil in the highly anticipated sequel of the blockbuster, which has left the actor displeased, as revealed by Boney in an interview with Zoom. Instead, the cast will include his son Arjun Kapoor, among others. Boney shared his thoughts about Anil’s exclusion, stating, “Before I could inform my brother Anil about the No Entry sequel and the cast involved, the news was already leaked. It was unfortunate that it happened that way. I know he wanted to be a part of the No Entry sequel, but there was no space. I wanted to explain my decision to him.”

Boney confirmed that Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Arjun Kapoor will feature in the follow-up to No Entry. Anees Bazmee, who directed the 2005 film starring Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, and Fardeen Khan, will be returning to helm the sequel.

Boney Kapoor also clarified that the original stars will not be part of the new movie, stating, “That chapter with the old star cast is over. Varun and Arjun share a great camaraderie, and their chemistry could shine in the story. Diljit is a massive star today with a loyal fan following. I wanted to make the sequel relevant in today’s time, and that’s why I made this casting decision. However, my brother and I are still not on the best terms regarding this matter. I hope everything gets sorted out soon. Let’s see.”

Boney also shared that the team is currently in the process of casting 10 female actors for the project. He plans to focus on the casting after the release of his next production, Maidaan, on April 11. The filming for No Entry 2 is scheduled to begin in December.

No Entry revolved around two married men, portrayed by Anil Kapoor and Fardeen Khan, who find themselves in trouble due to their womanizing friend, played by Salman Khan, after he sets them up with a prostitute, leading to a web of lies and confusion. The film featured Lara Dutta, Esha Deol, and Celina Jaitly as the female leads, with Bipasha Basu making an extended cameo appearance. No Entry raked in ₹95 crore at the worldwide box office.
