Sunny Deol Sets Sights on OTT Debut, Affirms Involvement in Digital Content

Since his career resurgence, Sunny Deol’s upcoming projects have been eagerly anticipated. “Lahore 1947,” produced by Aamir Khan and directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, is currently in development. However, it seems that Deol’s focus extends beyond just films to encompass compelling content across various mediums, including OTT.

According to insiders, Deol has been in discussions for OTT shows and films, with substantial offers on the table. The success of “Gadar 2” has revitalized his career, prompting him to recognize the need for ongoing experimentation to remain relevant to a new generation of audiences. Confirming these plans, Deol expressed, “It is going to be interesting because I am doing a couple of films, and those will give me a benchmark of how things are going to be in 2025. All the films I am doing are big screen films. And yes, I am also doing stuff for digital platforms. I am picking up more subjects, and there are certain things which I want to do which cannot be for the big screen as they (theatres) will not give me space for it.”

He further elaborated, “As an actor, I feel it’s nice it will be seen. If I do loads of it, there will be another audience who will know I am capable of doing that too. Unless I do it, that can’t happen. One doesn’t want to do only one kind of stuff.” This strategic approach reflects Deol’s commitment to diversifying his portfolio and engaging with a wider audience, signaling an exciting new chapter in his career.

Deol further emphasizes, “As an actor, I believe it’s beneficial for my work to be seen. By exploring a variety of roles, I can reach a new audience and demonstrate my versatility. It’s essential not to limit oneself to a single type of work.” Stay tuned to know more about him and others!
