Synopsis: The OTT platform Netflix is back in the news and this time it is all set to release the BBC show. The series is written by Andrew Davies, while the makers have already released it for the UK audience. Hence the streaming giant – Netflix is all set to re-release only for the audience in Europe, US, Canada, Australia and other nations other than the UK. The series is produced by Lydia Dean Pilcher and Aradhana Seth under the production house Lookout Point. It is directed by Mira Nair, while the series has a star cast including Tabu, Ishaan Khatter, Tanya Maniktala and Rasika Dugal in the leading roles. 

It will be streaming on Netflix in six episodes, while it happens to be based on a novel written on the same by Vikram Chandra. The series is made in the backdrop of the late forties when India has got freedom. We have a young boy played by Ishan who seemed to come in touch with a middle aged lady played by Tabu and the two fall in love with each other despite the age gap. The show seemed to have come up with good reviews and ratings. Considering the good review and ratings, the makers have planned to embark upon the OTT platform – Netflix.
