As the web series –Bombay Begums started streaming on the eve of International Women’s Day, the show went smooth for a few days. Soon, Netflix India received a notice from an Indian agency meant for protecting children’s rights when they objected that the series is showing children in bad light, hence it should stop. The body called the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights commonly known as NCPCR officials was quick to tweet about the same. Check their tweet as under:

It claimed that Netflix with such shows are going to pollute the young minds of kids and that can even result in issues like exploitation and abuse of kids. The children’s body also complained about the same saying that there are so many reports suggesting the same, which made them ask for the ban of the series. The show talks about five women who play different parts in the Bombay society.
The series Bombay Begums has gained a good buzz around it, which is directed and written by Alankrita Shrivastava. So far there are no such big complaints except the one coming from one.
