The light-hearted comedy series “Panchayat,” created by The Viral Fever, has gained a dedicated fan base since its premiere in 2020. With an ensemble cast including Jitendra Kumar, Neena Gupta, Raghubir Yadav, Durgesh Kumar, Chandan Roy, Sanvikaa, Faisal Malik, and Pankaj Jha, the show’s third season was recently released on Amazon Prime on May 28.In a departure from previous seasons, the latest installment of “Panchayat” delves into the darker side of rural politics, leaving viewers on the edge of their seats with a cliffhanger ending that leaves many questions unanswered.
Spoiler Alert!The season finale sees Abhishek Tripathi, also known as Sachiv ji (Jitendra Kumar), preparing to leave Phulera with Pradhan ji (Raghubir), Prahlad (Faisal), and Vikas (Chandan) to take his CAT exam in Varanasi. However, their plans take a dangerous turn when two gunmen on motorcycles open fire on them. Unfortunately, Pradhan ji is hit by a bullet on his shoulder during the attack, but he survives. The prime suspect in this brutal attack is the Vidhayak, and the upcoming season of “Panchayat” may reveal the person responsible. Despite the chaotic situation, Abhishek manages to board his bus and bravely takes his exam.
While he assures Vikas that the exam went well, the results of his hard work and determination will only be revealed in season 4. Another question that arises is the impact of the police complaint filed against Sachiv Ji. This complaint stems from a brawl involving Abhishek, the MLA (Pankaj), and Bhushan (Durgesh), which leads to Sachiv’s arrest. Season 4 will uncover whether this complaint hinders Abhishek’s dream of getting into an IIM. Additionally, viewers can anticipate the development of the love story between Abhishek and Rinki (Sanvikaa), as she now shares the ambition of pursuing an MBA.
Ultimately, the biggest question looming after the intense events of season 3 is whether the innocent and beautiful village of Phulera will remain unchanged. Only the fourth season of “Panchayat” will provide the answers to these gripping queries. The show’s creators have confirmed that there will be at least two more seasons in store for fans. However, fans may have to exercise patience, as it could be a two-year wait before the fourth season arrives on the streaming platform.
