Just when the makers are gearing up for the release of the film on the streaming giant – Amazon Prime, we now hear something about the theatrical release of the film as well. The film starring Sara Ali Khan and Varun Dhawan is all set to hit the screens on Amazon Prime this Christmas but at the same time there are reports that the film will also get the release in theatres as well. The key reason for doing this is that the people in smaller cities may not be able to catch them on the streaming media.
The single screen audience might lose the opportunity to watch the film, hence the makers have decided to release the film in such places. We also know the plight of such cinema halls as most of them are on the verge of closing soon even permanently. Hence the makers are planning now to release it in the single screens all across the country. This could be called a win-win situation for one and all.
In this way, the film Coolie No 1 will have both the releases of the OTT and the single screen as well. Earlier we heard that the Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani starrer film Laxmii will also get theatrical and OTT release but then they restricted it to the streaming media only and it did get a huge gathering.
