Just when we heard about the actor Sonu Sood mortgaging his properties to raise money for the needy, we now hear that the actor has been named in the Top Global Asian Celebrity 2020. He is among the first Asian celebrities on the planet for 2020. The news was carried out by the UK-based Eastern Eye newspaper. The actor was seen getting honoured for his exceptional work during the lockdown sending back more than 12k migrant workers to their respective places. 

The moment the news reached Sonu Sood he expressed his happiness by thanking everyone for his efforts. As the Pandemic broke, he said he realised how his countrymen were disturbed and not able to return to their home. This is where he stepped up to help them return home. He said he did everything in the wake of being a responsible Indian and he will carry out such tasks till his last breath. He even brought students stranded outside India seeking the help of Indian government.

The others in the list include singer and actor Ayushmann Khurrana and Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh.
