The last time we saw Shahid Kapoor was in Kabir Singh in 2019 opposite Kiara Advani. The film did well and then we heard that he has got another remake Telugu film Jersey to be made with the same title. The actor plays a cricketer in the film who returns on the field in his late thirties for his son who calls him his real hero. As per the recent reports, the actor has now wrapped up the shoot for the film in Uttrakhand with Mrunal Thakur. Shahid was shooting for the film when the lockdown was announced.
Since then some portion of the film was remaining for the shoot. But as per the recent buzz, the actor informed on the microblogging site informing that the shoot is complete:Â
It’s a wrap on this schedule of #Jersey. I would like to thank the Govt of Uttarakhand for supporting and putting in place efficient policies that enabled us to safely shoot and wrap the schedule of our film in the many beautiful locations of the state.

As Shahid wrote about the wrapping up of the schedule for the film, he also thanked the state government for their support along with others and soon after him, his co-star Mrunal also tweeted about it when she also thanked everyone for the support, check what she wrote.
