Salaar Global Box Office Collection Day 11: Prabhas’ Film Crosses ₹644 Crores, Nearing the Record of Baahubali

Prabhas is on the verge of achieving his second-highest grossing film as Salaar is poised to surpass the worldwide box office collection of Baahubali: The Beginning. The action-packed film Salaar, directed by Prashanth Neel, continues to make waves at the global box office. After crossing the prestigious ₹600 crore mark worldwide, Salaar has now reached ₹644 crore on its 11th day of release. On the eleventh day, the film earned ₹12.60 crore in Hindi alone. Its total domestic collection has risen to ₹495.30 crore, while the overseas collection has reached ₹149.50 crore. Consequently, Salaar’s worldwide box office collection currently stands at ₹644.80 crore.

This impressive feat brings Salaar’s worldwide box office collection close to that of Prabhas’ second highest-grossing film to date, SS Rajamouli’s 2015 period epic Baahubali: The Beginning, which holds a worldwide collection of ₹650 crore. Prabhas’ highest-grossing film globally remains the sequel, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (2017), with an astounding collection of ₹1788 crore.

Expressing his gratitude, Prabhas took to Instagram on New Year’s Day to thank his fans for their love and support for his latest release. In his message, he wrote, “While I decide the fate of Khansaar, you all sit back and have a fantastic New Year darlings! Thank you for owning #SalaarCeaseFire and making it a big success. Produced by Hombale Films, Salaar achieved a remarkable feat on day one with a collection of ₹178.7 crore, setting a record for the highest opening figures for any Indian film in 2023.

Set in the fictional dystopian city-state of Khansaar, Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire explores the friendship between Deva (played by Prabhas), a tribesman, and Varadha (played by Prithviraj Sukumaran), the prince of Khansaar. The film also features Shruti Haasan, Eshwari Rao, Jagapathi Babu, and Sriya Reddy in prominent roles. Released in multiple languages including Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi on December 22, Salaar faced a clash at the box office with Shah Rukh Khan’s film, Dunki.
