Following the lodging of an FIR against the perpetrator for forgery, identity theft, and other charges, the police officials diligently investigated the matter, culminating in an arrest on January 20.
Recently, we reported that the Delhi Police successfully apprehended the accused individual from Andhra Pradesh. In response, Rashmika Mandanna expressed her heartfelt gratitude towards the officials in a touching note shared on her Instagram story. The post read, “Expressing my heartfelt gratitude to @delhi.police_official (folded hands emoji) Thank you for apprehending those responsible. Feeling truly grateful for the community that embraces me with love, support, and shields me (Indian flag emoji).”
The actress’s social media response sparked a debate about the need for stringent actions against cyber-crimes. Many of her fellow actors and industry friends came out in support of Mandanna, emphasizing the necessity to implement better guidelines in such cases. In her post, the talented actress urged others to take action if they become victims of such cyber-crimes, stating, “Girls and boys – if your image is used or morphed anywhere without your consent. It is wrong! And I hope this is a reminder that you are surrounded by people who will support you and action will be taken! (white heart emoji).”
For those unfamiliar with the incident, approximately two months ago, a video featuring Rashmika Mandanna entering a lift wearing a black low-cut top circulated on social media. However, it was later revealed that the video actually belonged to an Indian-British influencer named Zara Patel.
