Plabita Borthakur is an actress, singer, and artist from Assam. She was born in Assam on 17th June 1992 in the said place. Her father is an engineer and teacher along with a singer. She was born and brought up in Duliajan Assam while her mother was a writer that made her pursue higher studies. She then headed to Mumbai to join Jai Hind College in Mumbai and then planned her career in acting.
She got a chance to perform on concerts and assignments along with the band along with Chow and Manu. She got the chance to enter into films doing in the movie PK playing the role of a sister Anushka Sharma. Soon she got the chance to work in a film called Lipstick Under My Burkha playing the leading lady’s role in it. She appeared in Kapil Sharma show with Ekta Kapoor and Prakash Jha. Some of her films include Fuh Se Fantasy, Chhote Nawab, Kumud Chaudhary, Waah Zindagi, Doosra, and Homecoming to name a few.
She also appeared in a number of web series including Parchhayee (Zee5 Web Series) playing Suman Lal and    Neelam, while she appeared in other movies as well that are yet to be released. She was also seen in a couple of web series called Escaype Live which is yet to be released in (Hotstar) Films. She was recently seen in the Netflix web series called Bombay Begums which started streaming on March 8th on the streaming giant.
