Maidaan Box Office Collection Day 3: Ajay Devgn’s Film Sees Significant Increase but Falls Below Expectations, Earns Rs 6 Crore

The release of the Ajay Devgn starrer Maidaan witnessed a significant surge in its collections on the third day. With an approximate 80 percent jump, the film showed promising growth. However, despite this improvement, the overall earnings for Maidaan still fall below expectations.

According to Sacnilk, Maidaan is projected to earn an estimated net collection of Rs 5.50-6 crore. The substantial increase in numbers was crucial for the film, considering its lackluster performance in the initial two days.

After three days, the total collection for Maidaan stands at just over Rs 15.50 crore net, indicating a slow start for this big-budget production. In order to enhance its box office performance, Maidaan will need to maintain or surpass this momentum on Sunday. Additionally, a strong hold on Monday will be essential for the film to have a chance at achieving a respectable lifetime total.

Despite the challenges faced by Maidaan and the competition from Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff’s Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, both films can benefit from a relatively clear release calendar in the upcoming weeks. This provides them with an opportunity to improve their collections if they can sustain their performance on Monday and beyond.

Directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma, Maidaan presents a poignant portrayal of Syed Abdul Rahim’s unwavering dedication to football, which brought tremendous pride to India. Ajay Devgn skillfully essays the role of Rahim, supported by a talented ensemble cast including Priyamani, Gajraj Rao, and Rudranil Ghosh.

While the film has bagged positive reviews from most of the critics including the trade pundits like Taran Adarsh, check his ratings for the film which he shared on the microblogging site called X formerly known as Twitter:
