Dune: Prophecy teaser The official description of the series sets the stage, stating, “Set 10,000 years before the rise of Paul Atreides, Dune: Prophecy follows the journey of two Harkonnen sisters as they face formidable forces that threaten the future of humanity, while establishing the legendary sect known as the Bene Gesserit.”
In the teaser, we witness the beginnings of the Bene Gesserit as they begin to exert their influence within the Imperium, under the leadership of Valya. Fans eagerly searched for Tabu, hoping to see her presence in the trailer. However, amidst the glimpses of various characters in the 1-minute-34-second teaser, it remains unclear if Tabu was among them. One fan reacted to the teaser on X (formerly Twitter), saying, “But no Tabu. I’m assuming her role is either so significant that they don’t want to reveal it or it’s a smaller role. Nevertheless, with or without her, I have always been excited for anything related to my latest favorite child, and that’s DUNE.”
Another fan expressed their thoughts, saying, “I’m not getting the Dune vibes. Maybe it’s because the distinctive style of Denis Villeneuve has become synonymous with Dune. Nonetheless, I am hopeful and excited for Tabu.” However, some fans were convinced that they had spotted Tabu, sharing screenshots of a veiled character or a shot of a bare back. The cast of Dune: Prophecy includes Emily Watson, Olivia Williams, Travis Fimmel, Johdi May, Mark Strong, Sarah-Sofie Boussnina, Josh Heuston, Chloe Lea, Jade Anouka, Faoileann Cunningham, Edward Davis, Aoife Hinds, Chris Mason, and Shalom Brune-Franklin.
