We often hear the old axiom saying that education is recession free business in India as we see parents leave no stone unturned to get their children the best schooling for educating their kids for a secured future. The same theme is seen in the upcoming film called Serious Men by Sudhir Mishra who is seen banking upon this very aspiration meant for mobility via their kids. The film will be released on Netflix and it has stars like Nawazuddin Siddiqi playing Ayyan Mani.
He comes from a lower middle class family and wants his son to stand on the top in the list of serious people who come to big offices with huge chambers. As you check the trailer, it starts with a satirical take on issues like nepotism and the way things take to shape up the generation. He acts as the big con who is ready to sell his son for being a child genius as he calls him the blend of B R Ambedkar and scientist APJ Abdul Kalam.
The story is based on the book with the same title by Manu Joseph, while Siddiqui plays a common man from Mumbai who is stranded in between a good and bad marriage leading some unremarkable life with his odd jobs working as a PA to an insufferable astronomer. The streaming giant is yet to share much about the film, while it is produced by Cine Raas Entertainment in collaboration with Bombay Fables. The film is slated to release on 2nd October, while it also has Indira Tiwari, Shweta Basu Prasad and M Nasser in the leading roles.
