Article 370 Day 2 Box Office Collection: Yami Gautam’s Film Shows Growth, Crosses ₹7 Crore Mark in India

Day 2 of the box office saw a surge in collections for the film Article 370, starring Yami Gautam in the lead role. According to Sacnilk.com, the movie, produced by Jyoti Deshpande, Aditya Dhar, and Lokesh Dhar, experienced an uptick in box office earnings on its second day of release, which was February 23. The film garnered ₹5.9 crore on its opening day and an estimated ₹7.5 crore on day two, marking a 27.12% growth. The total collection in India stands at ₹13.4 crore so far.

About Article 370 The film delves into the themes of terrorism and corruption in Jammu and Kashmir, with Yami portraying the role of an intelligence officer. The trailer depicted the rise of terrorism in the region, with radicals vying for control. Yami’s character, an NIA operative, is tasked with a mission in Kashmir, with the government committed to abolishing Article 370. The film also features Priyamani, Arun Govil, and Kiran Karmarkar in pivotal roles.

Yami’s Reaction to PM Narendra Modi’s Praise Prime Minister Narendra Modi mentioned the film Article 370 in his address in Jammu, stating, “I have heard that a film on Article 370 is going to be released this week… It is a good thing as it will help people in getting correct information.” Yami expressed her gratitude on Instagram, stating, “It is an absolute honour to watch PM @narendramodi Ji talk about #Article370Movie. My team and I really hope that we all exceed your expectations in bringing this incredible story to the screen!”

Article 370 Review The Hindustan Times review praised Yami Gautam’s impactful performance, highlighting her no-nonsense demeanor and intense dialogue delivery. Priyamani’s restrained yet effective portrayal also earned acclaim, as she remained the calm amidst the chaos in the film.

Looking at the advance booking for Sunday, Article 370 has achieved ticket sales amounting to 2.10 crores gross across India (excluding blocked seats). Compared to the previous day’s 1.40 crores gross, this marks a remarkable growth of 50%. This surge indicates that the film is poised to attract a substantial audience today, especially with over-the-counter ticket sales expected to drive significant foot traffic.
