Kajol Discusses Her Role as a Strong Lawyer, Mother, and Wife in “The Trial: Pyaar Kanoon Dhokha,” Emphasizing a Focus on Emotions Rather Than Legal Technicalities
Kajol, known for her impressive filmography, is all set to make her debut in a web series with “The Trial: Pyaar Kanoon Dhokha.” In this upcoming series, she will portray the character of Noyonika Sengupta, a strong and fierce lawyer, as well as a dedicated mother and wife.
“The Trial” revolves around the choices made by a wife and promises to deliver an engaging storyline. Joining Kajol in this project is an exceptional ensemble cast, including Sheeba Chaddha, Jisshu Sengupta, Alyy Khan, Kubbra Sait, and Gaurav Pandey, who will be seen in pivotal roles.
Speaking about the camaraderie and dynamics on the set of “The Trial – Pyaar, Kanoon, Dhokha,” Kajol shared her experience, stating, “We had an absolute great time on set. Suparn was like our gang leader. He just made sure that we were all comfortable around each other, especially when it came to dialogues and other aspects of the production.”
As an actress known for her versatility, Kajol expressed her fondness for legal dramas but admitted that she didn’t delve deeply into the intricacies of the legal aspects. She mentioned, “I do love legal drama, but I didn’t really go into detail and exact legalities of things.” However, she acknowledged that certain laws in the Indian system are commonly known, and she has a general understanding of what is allowed and what isn’t. Additionally, the production had a lawyer on set to provide guidance throughout the process.
“The Trial – Pyaar, Kanoon, Dhokha” will be available for streaming on Disney+ Hotstar, adding to the platform’s diverse range of content.
